So I definitely need help updating LDT. I’ll give you the low-down on what it entails right now:

  1. Create the numbered post using Gimp 2 - a program you can find on Google and download for free. It’s super easy to use and it doesn’t lower the image’s quality like MS Paint does. I’ll tell you how I do this because I have a few specifics.
  2. Submit the image (plus the name of the person who submitted the original idea to us on LDT) to me on my personal blog. I want to regulate all posts for a while but that probably won’t last too long.
  3. I will post the image to LDT myself. Don’t worry about not getting credit; it will be stated in the blog description who makes the posts. Plus, all our followers will see is that it is posted by LongDistanceThings, not whoever the new person is.

The only requirements are that you are or have been in an LDR before and that you will be an active poster. I am going to choose one person to do this, but maybe more after I see how that goes. If you’re feeling ambitious, send me a message right here with your LDR story and reason(s) why you’d be a good person for this task. Thank you and I hope you all are well.

The blog is NOT going anywhere!

Just clearing up some confusion here - LDT is run by two people. I created it and added Natalie very early on and she has been a huge help ever since. She is leaving now but I’ll still be here and the blog is staying as well.

If you’d still like to talk to Natalie, her personal blog is here. That’s where you can ask for advice or whatever else you’d like to know. But if all you have to say is hateful, don’t bother. I have no idea where those messages are coming from but she doesn’t deserve it. Natalie has helped so many people with her advice and her stories and it’s wonderful that she’s picked herself up and is happy again.

Thanks for listening.

“Those nights that you don’t feel the distance, you only feel close to them. As if you were in their arms, breathing on their neck. Kissing them goodnight. Their voice is home.” - A lovely anon.

Oct 27th, 2011 lesbianldr: Can you help promote our blog? My girlfriend and I made a long distance blog that helps with advice and just journaling our feelings about different everyday obstacles and sort've love notes to each other and a lot of things from your blog that inspire us
Oct 24th, 2011 waufle: My girlfriend, who I am in a LDR with, absolutely loves this blog, and she checks it everyday. If you could/would be so kind, I would love it if you could post this on your page, even if only for a day. I'm always looking for new ways to make her smile since the distance makes things so hard, as everyone on this page is aware. Thanks for considering! SARA! - I love you with all my heart, hold on tight and stay strong, we will be together soon. You are my little angel - xoxo - your Bubba! :)

Oh gosh, this is cute. Best wishes to the both of you. <3

Oct 17th, 2011 mybeatingheartbelongstoyou: hello :} sorry if this seems quite cheeky, I'm just looking for a little help. I recently started a secrets and confessions blog, it just needs a little publicity, I was wondering if you could perhaps help spread the word? Feel free to say no, it's not what your blog does, the help would be appreciated though! And don't worry, I have followed you for quite a while, I wouldn't ask strangers! Thanks a lot if you decide to help, sincerely. The url for the blog is your-secret-is-safe xxxxxxxx

Of course! Everybody have a look: your-secret-is-safe. (Love this url, by the way.)
